Upgrading the Suzuki DR650

Fans of the Suzuki DR650 will tell you that in order to unlock the bike’s full potential, it must be upgraded. And it’s seriously impressive what a few upgrades can do. After switching a few things around, it went from being a tractor to a really fun bike. After fixing it up, I feel 110% more confident (even with the bald d606s).

During my research, I poked around a variety of subreddits and forums. I finally found the parts I wanted to use in my DR650 upgrade and laid them out.

Here’s everything that I needed to upgrade the DR650.

I sourced parts from Acerbis, RaceTech, BushPigPerformance, ProCycle, Dunlop, SeatConecepts and more. Some were purchased new, others used, some even gifted. It’s a blend, but I’m definitely happy with how it all turned out.
