Ice Road Bikers - Ride to the NWT

In January, we had the opportunity to freeze our butts off with the riders of Ride North Moto.

Mike Haberoth organizes this chilly motorcycle riding event annually. He invites riders from around the world to go from Fort McMurray, Alberta to Fort Smith, North West Territories during the coldest time of year. Mostly travelling on Canada's winter ice road network, this event was pretty neat to be a part of and it was exciting to find a group that wasn’t afraid to take winter head-on.

This ride was coordinated to raise awareness and funds for the Local Hero Foundation, which services northern Alberta for emergency medical needs.

See for yourself what it’s like to ride in the wintertime.
